The Story

Glass Sea Productions, LLC was formed by a group of writers and filmmakers that met through a writer's ministry in San Diego.

How we started...

Richard Bagdazian joined the Rock Writer's ministry in early 2009 at the suggestion of Anita Palmer who was overseeing the writer's ministry at the church at that time. Richard came to the Rock after leading San Diego Screenwriters Association for three years to lead and instruct other writers and filmmakers interested in learning the craft of screenwriting and construction of story for film.

After leading an introductory workshop, Richard met with two of the workshop attendees who felt that God was moving in a special way in bringing us together. 

The Vision...

We believe there is a need for strong filmmaking that communicates values that are in agreement with those who seek to honor God and yet tackle tough issues of our day. We are dedicated to creating film content that uplifts, inspires, and is family-friendly while respecting the Christian worldview. In a postmodern world we aim to Bring Film to Light!

First Annual San Diego Christian Film Festival

Our first goal was to produce the First Annual San Diego Christian Film Festival which was held December 27-30,2010 at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center in La Jolla. In so doing we endeavored to raise funds for our own production efforts and, just as important, provide exposure for emerging filmmakers from the Christian faith community.

From the beginning we decided that this enterprise would be an opportunity to trust God with our business. We began by seeking people of like minded hearts that would make a donation of $40.00 to help initiate the business. They were given passes to the film festival, featured in the festival program as founding members, and recognized at the final awards ceremony.
